Today, Fergal specialises in criminal defence and works daily in the Criminal Courts of Justice, holding extensive experience in representing clients in police custody. Fergal completed the SUPRULAT training program, which is aimed at promoting suspects’ rights before legal proceedings. This makes Fergal uniquely equipped to work with clients in Garda custody.

Fergal achieved  an acquittal in the first ever Circuit Court trial he was involved in. Fergal also successfully won his first ever hearing in the District Court.

Fergal qualified as a Solicitor and was admitted to the Republic of Ireland in October 2015 and is eligible to practice in all 32 counties in Ireland.

Fergal Boyle holds a LLB (Queen’s University Belfast) and MSc in Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations (University of Ulster at Jordanstown) and completed professional training at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Belfast (Certificate in Professional Legal Studies).

When not working with clients, Fergal can be found at Old Trafford, playing the clarinet in St. Catherine’s Concert Band, and being active in politics and current events.
