In recent times we have seen a huge increase in regulation in the workplace which in turn imposes greater obligations and responsibilities in the workplace than ever before.

This has led to bodies such as the Health and Safety Authority becoming more present in the workplace and conducting investigations which may result in a criminal prosecution and substantial fines.
